4 Children’s books about diversity

When it comes to difficult conversations, explaining to our children that discrimination exists is up there with the hardest of them. No matter how painful, these conversations can serve as a sort of protection for our young children by preparing them for what they may one day have to face. What’s more, we want our children to embrace rather than fear the differences they see in others. For this reason, talking about race and diversity with our kids at an early age can help empower them to be better more empathetic people.  We’ve put together a list of children’s books about diversity that will make our kids little advocates of inclusion and anti-racism.
